The village offers an excellent variety of shops catering for day to day needs, several Public Houses and restaurants together with a variety of schools for children of all ages. There is a good selection of sporting and social activities available within the general area and some delightful walks along the banks of the Thames and over surrounding countryside.

Communications
For the commuter, the M40 motorway is accessible at Junctions 3 and 4 and the M4 motorway at junction 8/9. providing easy access to Oxford, Birmingham and London and the west country and London respectively. There are regular bus services to High Wycombe and Maidenhead and there is a branch line railway station providing services to Paddington via Maidenhead. There is a main line railway station in Beaconsfield (about 5 miles) that serves London Marylebone.
